Support your natural resistance

How your body reacts when it comes into contact with viruses or bacteria depends on how your immune system works.

How your body reacts when it comes into contact with viruses or bacteria depends on how your immune system works. You can strengthen your immunity or resistance through a healthy, varied diet with plenty of vegetables and fruit, enough exercise, regular rest and relaxation and good, healthy sleep. That is the basis. In addition, you can give your natural resistance extra support with a number of natural nutrients, vitamins and minerals.

Vitamins A, C and D

We have long known that vitamins C and D are of the utmost importance for good immunity. Vitamin C is needed to produce white blood cells, which fight bacteria and viruses. Among other things, vitamin D strengthens the nasal mucosa, one of the boundaries between our body and the outside world and therefore an important pillar of the immune system. Vitamin D intake can help protect against viral respiratory infections, among other things. Clinical studies show that vitamin A also reduces the chance of getting a respiratory infection.

Zinc, selenium and rosemary

Taking zinc also protects against viral and bacterial infections. Selenium stimulates the production of active T cells and increases the activity of natural killer cells. In vitro and animal studies show that rosemary also has properties that regulate the immune system.

Beta-glucan from yeast

More than 80 clinical studies have been published showing that insoluble beta-glucans from baker’s yeast trigger powerful immune responses by activating macrophages and neutrophils – the key cells of the innate immune system (the first line of defence). As a result, pathogens are recognised and destroyed more quickly. This increases your resistance to viruses and bacteria, so you are less likely to fall ill when you come into contact with them. Taking 900 mg of beta-glucans from yeast reduces the chance of catching a cold, eases the typical symptoms of colds and makes upper respiratory tract infections less severe.
