That is why we are particularly pleased to work with Bpost for shipping our products: since 1 June, Bpost has been delivering all parcels in Belgium without any impact on the climate.
Bpost has long been trying to keep CO₂ emissions from parcel transport as low as possible, and now also offsets the emissions it cannot yet avoid by supporting the Gold Standard-certified Ghana Cookstove Project, an initiative that improves the living standards of Ghanaians and protects their forests.
Bpost keeps e-commerce green in several ways:
- By the end of 2022, Bpost will offset 100% of its CO2 emissions.
- By the end of 2022, Bpost will purchase more than 1,000 new electric vans. The goal is to deliver fully electrically by 2030.
- Bpost uses parcel lockers, cargo bikes, innovative parcel boxes, reusable packaging and other environmentally friendly initiatives.
- By 2025, all major cities will have eco-zones for the delivery of mail and parcels. Bpost already has the largest network of pick-up points in Belgium. In major cities you will find a pick-up point within 400 metres of your door, in smaller towns within 1.2 km. That way everyone can collect their parcels on foot or by bike.
